Then you could consider the porting on the 79ers' might make a difference...
7900 or a 7910 wont pull a 28 with 404 buried like a 064/66 or a 390 or 660. Been there and done it. A good ported 7910 with 28" 3/8 skip is one of the most impressive 70cc class saws Ive ran though. I tried the 28" 404 on a 440/460 and 7910. It would pull it but tap out pretty easy if lean on too much

I wouldn't run that crappy chain on a 90cc saw. So why would I run it on a 70?

I'm gonna find me another ported 064 just to refresh my memory and compare it to my 461s and 660 and 661..then sell it :)

I wouldn't run that crappy chain on a 90cc saw. So why would I happen to love it on my 390xp noodling which there was no comparison between 404 and 3/8 noodling as the 404 pulls all the usable torque from it. Seems alota other folks on here like 404? The running it on the hybrid and 7910 was to see if a 70cc class saw did or didnt have enough torque to pull it well which it doesnt. I do know of an experienced member on here that runs 28"404 on his 440/460 hybrid and cuts alot with it and loves it but guess its personal preference. Why do u say its crappy out of curosity?

Why is the dolmar 7900 comsidered a 70 cc class saw when its over 79 cc.everyone then talks how it spanks up on an 044 or 460 but yet in my opinion its a 80 cc saw.id say put in the class with 385 288 064 066 and go that way with it and see how bad it is.not to start a war or piss anyone off im honestly just saying .the 7300 is a 70 cc saw

I know its 79 and change but they allways put it up against saws that are 3 to 7 cc smaller.so lets be fair and run it up against saws that are 3 to 7 or 8 cc bigger.and saw how bad they are its only fair.again im not knocking them there a great looking saw that would be my 2nd choice over a stihl
