More or less the same, 550 having a little more zip. I did a muff mod on the one I had and it woke it right up, I then sent it to Randy. 346 seems to be a little torquier. I've been thinking of getting another 550 and doing some mods to it myself. Enjoy your new toy.

The 550 is the second best saw I've ever used... right behind the 562. I like my 346 but I think the 550 is a step ahead all around.
