Basil Hayden is smooth and tends to please a lot of people. Another one that I like that is similar is Evan Williams single barrel.Damn! I should have picked up that 090 in person!
I tend not to drink terribly often, because I have trouble stopping, but I do have a fondness for whiskey.
I have pretty much stuck with Basil Hayden since my dad bought some to try a number of years back, and I will be picking up some Gibson's rye when I visit Canada this summer.
Laphroaig is such a treatSitting on the porch, sipping Laphroaig 10 at the moment. I tend to wander between Scotch and bourbons, or George Dickel, technically a Tennessee whiskey. The problem with Dickel is that it evaporates so fast! I open the bottle, pour a drink, then before I know it, it's empty!
On the bright side, for a couple weeks after, the UPS truck brings me all kinds of surprises!
The Quarter Cask is my jam. I have a bottle of 10 year now I'm working through, but it's no QC.Laphroaig is such a treat
