Same flywheel used on Red Coil 64/73/7900 models as today's black coil SLR models. From what I can read the saws with the burgundy looking coil needs a specific flywheel. This one has that coil. I could be wrong, though. Wouldn’t be the first time. Lol
Ah! Fantastic! Thanks for the clarification Steve. How do I tell the difference between the flywheels? Just want to make sure I get the right one. Do you have anything used?Same flywheel used on Red Coil 64/73/7900 models as today's black coil SLR models.
The Black Coil 64/73/7900 models from 2001 till 2004 or so had a different flywheel.
Stole a couple pics of the internet.Ah! Fantastic! Thanks for the clarification Steve. How do I tell the difference between the flywheels? Just want to make sure I get the right one. Do you have anything used?
That's the flywheel that came prior to the new one - the one that may burst to pieces and therefore got recalled.
This one must be the flywheel Dolmar/Makita recalled due to burst hazard?!

All running saws.
The PS-6400 is guaranteed to be factory original as I purchased her new.
The others should all be factory original too but I can not be 100% certain as I purchased them used.

What are you building?Looking for a flywheel for a 64xx-79xx for the burgundy 13,500 coil.
Nope. I read the same thing but I swapped my coil with the other and it runs greatFrom what I can read the saws with the burgundy looking coil needs a specific flywheel. This one has that coil. I could be wrong, though. Wouldn’t be the first time. Lol
Not building anything special. I have this greasy old bastard of a saw that needs a flywheel. The saw belongs to an arborist I know, and I’m just trying to help out. What are you building?
