randy if you have the 3 bolt stihl puller you can take starter pawls off flywheel and screw it right on

Load up some tension on the jack bolt. Pick the whole saw up slightly off your bench(1/2") while holding onto the puller. Then grab a bfh and give the end of the jack bolt a good smack.
Just a thought.

Have you tightened it up and smacked the end of the bolt with a hammer?

Agreed with the above, sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. I have been known to pull the case bolts out and use the splitter to force the case half and flywheel off.

You know it bro. I've tried that with it hot, cold, farted on, and shat at too. LOL

Yep.......got it smoky in here. Just propane so far. I'm gonna fire up the O2 torch and heat it on up.

Maybe with some heat try the above method but instead of hitting the jack bolt try hitting around the hub of the flywheel next to the crank. Probably need a good punch of some sort to get in next to the crank.
