All my 24" and 28" bars are Stihl .063. My 20" bars are .050. I wanted to go .063 with my 36" bars, but no one around here had them, so I went back to .050 with my 36" bars. Done a lot of hardwood milling with them w/o any problems. Just keep your chains sharp!

I loaded up on chains (Stihl Square File made from the rolls) from Mark years ago (when I used to see him each year at the Upstate NY GTG), so I likely have enough for my lifetime, as I don't cut as much anymore. I stopped doing firewood for others, just too much work.

After you find the bar for the chain what saw will you buy for the bar?

He's working a deal for 125 of these:

It is funny there is mention of short bars in .404.
Years ago I misplaced a short .404 bar for a 041G. I was heading to a race the next day and was in a pickle as I needed a 20" .404 in 12mm. I called the dealer in the south county. He said 'Hell ya Bill I'll dig one out" He blew the dust off the old packaging and I dropped a turd load of cash.

I did win the race so I guess it was worth it

So, you somehow missed Deliverance?
I have not seen it, but have a friend that thought it was a classic and described it to me. I did see the banjo scene on YouTube...sounds like all sorts of parts of the movie are enough to give someone the willies and hee-bee-gee-bees....

I have been through the Atlanta airport several times, but otherwise, the closest I have come to Georgia is Stevenson, Alabama in Jackson County, visited a cemetery there where my great-great-great grandparents are buried.

We all practiced our archery skills quite a bit after seeing that movie!

Ironically, I had (still have) a Bear Kodiak Hunter Recurve, the same bow used by John Voigt in the movie. (I now use a compound instead of a recurve). It didn't help (as I got older) that my bow is 70# at 28" and I have a 31" draw!

They are distinguished by the white laminate in the riser.

The original movie was released in 1972.

I saw it when it came out. My dad regretted taking me for decades after. Nightmares lasted quite a while.
