Certainly a long shot, but I'm looking for a 1/4" 8z spur drive for a Stihl 015L. Yes, I could convert to 3/8 Picco, but the cost of doing so would be a bit of a stretch in this particular case.

No sir. Can't even find the OEM number for it. Seems to have disappeared when they changed to the Picco setup. The Picco is OEM 1116-640-2001 and did have an Oregon 21008 aftermarket equivalent for a time. Both are NLA and eBay territory now -- as is the necessary oil pump worm gear to do the conversion from an 8z spur to a 6. Think there may also be other aftermarket sources for those.

Saegenspezi sells a 1/4" - 8z sprocket w/needle cage, but are still restricted from exporting to the states. LRB claims to have a 1/4" rim drive setup for the 015L and advertises it as such. Only problem there is the saw never used one, at least to my knowledge. No way to drive the oil pump. But evidently LRB sells em anyway, or at least one. Someone even gave it a 5 star review.

Not normally on here, but I stumbled across your post. Pretty sure I'm your huckleberry. I can send pictures of it when I get home tonight if you'd like. I'm pretty sure I have corresponding oil pump worm drive gear if needed as well.

@PogoInTheWoods this is what I have, I had a n.o.s. one, but I must have sent it out on another saw. Spur is worn, but came off a functioning saw that was converted to picco. Inside of clutch drum is smooth, no grooves, or weird wear. Not sure if you were looking for new to replace a worn one or just needed something to get you by. At any rate, if you're interested, shoot me a PM and I'll get it headed your way. If not what you're after, no worries.

You're my hero, bro. Sold. Here's what came off the saw. Owner is an older guy who's cut firewood with it since the '70s and taken very good care of it otherwise. Just had zero awareness of how bad the sprocket had gotten. PM inbound. Thanks again!

The saw is a 181 w/ 288 parts thrown at it. I'm after a clutch cover and large outer felling spike / dog. I believe a cover for Husqvarna 181, 281xp, 288xp will fit. I would prefer one with the newer style plastic brake flag, but I'm not picky. I'm not a fan of new chinesium parts. It doesn't have to be pretty, in fact something that's ugly but still functional, would suit this saw perfectly. I'd even be okay with non working chain brake if it comes to that. Thanks.

Fixmytoys just had complete new OEM 288 chain brake/clutch cover assemblies on sale on Ebay for $71 delivered. So if you watch them, they'll probably go on sale again soon. They have them
