Mastermind 260 with 044/046 carb and nice new bar on it:

I got this 026 from a fellow worker for free after his young son stripped it down but never had any interest in putting back together.

I put all back together, found the issues with the saw easily, fixed and had running in just 20 mins.

Picked up this 291 today. Low hours somehow P.O. smoked the clutch and melted down the plastic around the clutch and melting the clutch drum bearing. Needs a few parts. Fuel and oil caps, brake spring cover, clutch cover, and bar nuts. Piston looks great and good compression..... Oh yeah, only gave up $25 bucks for it

Thanks. The seller advertised it as straight gassed. When I showed up I saw the melted plastic but wasn't sure if the roughness I felt pulling it over was from that or the p&c. But i was in a hurry and didn't think I could really lose at $25. Turns out it was a win for the day.

How do you decide which one to use?

Probably closes his eyes and just grabs one. Or picks the one with the most fuel and oil. lol

i use #3. it's always dirty.it only has 1 dawg on it. 1 & 2 are GTG saws.
or the 023.
