I think he said the piston and cylinder kits were 379 so they're still not giving them away, but cheaper than they were.

Might have to enquire at my dealer, even if he is a useless sum'*b-word, I get folks in my shop all the time saying "he had my saw 5 weeks, went to pick it up and he hadn't even touched it".

Hmm maybe I should try and get in with stihl to replace him round these parts

I have been asked to do a top end kit on a ms 440 does the serial number identify if it is a 10mm or 12mm pin? or do I have to get saw pull the jug and measure it from there?

cfb, forgot to mention, am runnin the china carb ya sent. works good. have the oe here, just too lazy/much of a rush, once the jug was on to go thru it.
I'm glad you got it going. It's a good looking saw for sure. I've used a couple of the AM 044 China carbs. Each one I've used has worked great. I even have one on my ms260.
