I've got an 020 AV top handle too .I had it down a few years ago for seals and now I need to rebuild the carb .These are almost as bad as a Mini Mac to work on ,damned slotted screws ,can't get on them straight .This time it's going back together with torx heads .Should have done that the last time .

I actually don’t despise working on them because I’ve had enough apart and it’s gotten easier since the first few. Now I have a strong dislike for working on an 019t/191t myself.

'Preciate the offer, but I'm covered on both the IPL and repair manual. Thanks.

I do also have the 019T IPL and shop manual if you'd happen to need them.

What I can say about the 020 AV is it weighs just about the same as a Poulan S25 DA and cuts about the same .They both came from about the same period of time .

Quick question about an older model 066 magnum. What’s best carb setting at about 600 feet above sea level which is where I’m at. I got the old manual as a pdf and it says one full turn on both low and high. Max rpm at 12,000. Idle at 2700.
Then I look at my actual saw and it says only 1/4 turn on both L and H. I still have the original cover on it.... I have also read that max rpm can be set to about 13700.

I’m currently Idling at 2300 and full throttle open at 14600. So I definitely need to adjust it before I start using it.

Advice from the experts please?

Get rid of the limiter tabs. Most 064/660 I’ve ran like to be set at 13.5 ish for a work tune. I highly doubt your stock 066 is still fourstroking safely at over 14k. My modded 064 will 4 stroke at 14k but that’s about the edge.

I’ll check it again but something definitely seemed off as I also smelled something like burnt oil in the air after running it for a few minutes. I just put a new meteor piston in it so don’t want to screw anything up.

If it's turning 14.6, I highly doubt it still has the limiters on it!

I'd richen it up quite a bit on the high for a new top end and go from there. 13 ~ 13.5 is what I'd shoot for as well.

Presets are most always 1 and 1...
Then adjust up or down from there.

75ED1F6B-98DA-4A72-807B-64A9A2CD348A.jpeg I picked up a couple swamp donkeys this weekend. Both Stihl and one a 361. Seller wasn’t sure about this one, but thought it an 046.
Measures 52 mm.
Can some one interpret this for me?
