I finished reviewing my recently acquired DOLMAR 152.
Piston was severely dented so I had to replace it with a new GOLF piston.

Few more gaskets, carb diaphragms, a bit of cleaning and there she is:

Unfortunately the ignition (a Bosch KDT-type electronic ignition) doesn't work and gives no sparks.
After measuring the transformer and seeing reasonable resistance values, I tried the fix Jim described
but with no success. Still the ignition doesn't fire.
Seems like a have to look for a replacement ignition...

As a last ditch effort could use point conversion transistor chip. Then either slot the holes a lot or use point flywheel. Here is one I did that the capacitor didn't fixIMG_20220403_120731062.jpg
