Luckily, I have yet to encounter a Dolmar with a faulty coil.
The 5k models are supposedly prone to coil failures, or so I have been told.
Wouldn't know about the 6100 though.
Do You know someone You could borrow a coil from, possibly even a carb?
Any Dolmar running issues I encountered so far were fuel delivery related.
I do own a couple saws that a trusted US Makita dealer & friend says have faulty coils - but they are fun to run defective.

A PS-460 that likes to cold start in reverse and when turning the correct rotation exceeds 15k rpm - she is my favorite limbing saw!!!
And a PS-5105 that just cold starts in reverse.
I am not replacing those coils, I just wish the 5105 coil would have a faulty rpm limiter too.
