I checked my local Home Depot and they show the saw just like your ad, but where it says available for pick up or delivery it says NOT available for either. I’d like to see if it’s actually available. I think I’d be interested.

Online they claim 8 in-stock. They also say they will ship to your store for free.

These are model EA7900PRZ2

It would seem Makita did their very best to confuse and anger their existing as well as scare away any potential new customers!

I like Your location - and sig! :)

Thanks, have you tried to click on the link of my "location"? Google apparently is too stupid to
match "Dolmar City" and "Hamburg" :eusa_dance:
The sig is somewhat outdated as well (but still correct). Something about another 30 or so chainsaws
have found asylum at my premises...

Sooooo, it is "only a few under 100 saw" now!?

I try increasing my herd when the market isn't bonkers on pricing.

Yeah, Dolmar Hamburg is not working for customers the way it used to. :(

You better hurry @old_sir_henry.
I leave them to people in need!
I have my DOLMAR PS-7900H (the strong non-SLR one)

and my custom-built PS-8700 (a modded PS-7900 with
big-bore top-end and Solo crankshaft for an extra millimeter of stroke
yielding 87 cc displacement, ported, muffler-mod, modified carb ...

I'm quite happy with both of them ...

Do you have a build thread on the stroker? Or more details? I have been looking for a parts saw to do a build like yours.

I really like the 7900 series saws. I have a Makita DCS7901. It been a great saw other than it leaks oil. About to tear ot back down for some more mods and to fix the leak.

No build thread but within this thread starting at approx. 2019/11 or 2019/12 I have shown pics and given details on the conversion
Thank you. I will do research then. I appreciate it!

EDIT: My last name is "Geib". Are you familiar with it in Germany? Is Geib the common spelling over there? Or is Gaib more common?

Start looking at page 210 or so.

Can't tell you, both spellings are possible but the name itself isn't widespread so none of the spellings I'd consider as common.

Replace oil pressure hose to fix the leak! :)
