Do You wanna rebuild all three of mine? ;)
I don't like finicky equipment, I have absolutely no patience left for bulldung.
Whatever the issue is, all three behave exactly the same. :(

They ARE great bulletproof saws, a true testament to German old school engineering!
It gets pretty cold in Germany.:eyebrow2:

I have not bothered looking into it, 40cc is not my GO2SAW!
I have a nostalgic connection to the Sachs-Dolmar 105, she has been my first gasoline powered chainsaw and only one till 2006. when I tasted POWER with my Dolmar PS-6400.
The SD105 is "my dads saw". #insert smiley here# (where are the smileys!!!)

I understand, I used to have to fix everything I owned, if it was broke I was
never happy until it was working correctly again, as the years have passed,
I am not so bothered anymore. I would rather buy a new saw than fix up an
old one, leaving that for the archaeologists who find them.

The beauties and the beast.

I also took pictures of my smaller honeys, but it was raining and I got water on my phone's lens and most pictures were just blurry and out of focus.

Had them all out for a start up, idle & blip with p|$$ rew - to flush some fuel through the carbs.

With enthusiasts and collectors like Yourself the Dolmar brand will live on, thankfully.

I foresee no one will know nor renember that there were Makita petrol chainsaws past this coming decade - good riddance too.

Why do you say that? Is there plans from Makita to stop making petrol chainsaws?

Not only plans, Makita announced stopping production of petrol powered equipment
for the whole enterprise in October 2020 and did so in spring 2022.
And not only their DOLMAR brand whos' producton facilities have been demolished
meanwhile but very likely their Robin 4-stroke-engine brand as well.

Hmm, some people don't know it yet!?

As Henry wrote.
It is over, Makita bent over their remaining loyal customers and . . . well use Your imagination!

Makita suspended www.Dolmar.de , the German Dolmar web/home page - that tells You everything You need to know.
And forget parts supply!

OK, here is a thought - what will happen with Maruyama chainsaws that were rebranded forth and back Dolmar/Makita/Maruyama?

There is at least one Maruyama marketed under the Dolmar brand (Maruyama MCV31T = Dolmar PS-311TH)), and there are at least two Dolmar's marketed under the Maruyama brand (Dolmar PS-420 = Maruyama MCV42 ; Dolmar PS-5105 = Maruyama MCV51).

Just a thought.

I blame Horror Frought for Subaru exiting the small engine market. I worked in a small engine repair for a few years. The Subaru EXs were as good, if not better than the Honda GXs. Ovehead cam even. They used the good gen sets like Honda does on their Generators also. Shame.

I just looked through Home Depot site. They still have NIB 7900's for sale. So are these 3 year old stock?? Any corrected insight? Surprisingly didn't see and Echo 7310 chassis's for sale though.

That, I have no idea about. They stopped production in March 2022. About a year ago. There is a New, blue and gray DCS7901 on fleabay right now. And a couple orange 7900.

What we are seeing is just old stock.

I have been able to get a good scanned image of the KMS4 poster and I'm trying to learn if there is any interest in reprints (24x36"). If I can sell 10 or so I can make them available for around $30 each (+ shipping). If anyone is interested, let me know.
