I bought a bunch of manuals on the cheap while I could.
You paid what could be had for free officially?

Cool, I'm selling and shipping IPL's and manuals from now on.

I wouldn't be that optimistic: The model PS-3410 was discontinued mid 2017. Five years later on in mid 2022 many essential parts were already NLA. Why should one expect better availability of spares for other discontinued products?
Exactly!
Makita will make it a s#itshow - already IS!

I often see eBay ads "selling Dolmar manual/parts list xyz, printout not original", never understood it since there were two official links with freely downloadable pdf's.

Not judging, whatever floats Your boat. :)

I bought original prints. The downloadable pages are gone.
Last night I saved several that were still open on my phone. And will print them if I need too. I got everything from the 112 to the 166, service and parts for just over $100.

Makita’s dismantling of Dolmar is shameless.

Its capitalism! If the company doesn't yield enough profit - trash it, especially if the company to operates at deficit for years as Dolmar did.
However its a different question why Dolmar wasn't able to yield revenues. Maybe it has to do with Makita's apparent non-interest in promoting the Dolmar brand

Not being a dick, but I found a PDF IPL for the 112 pretty quickly? I don't like to see IPLs disappear either. I only have two now defunct makita saws, but already DL'ed and printed the manuals and part lists for them, as I try to do with all my saws and equipment.

Back to Dolmar saws.
Last New Year's Eve a DOLMAR 144A from the 70s was advertised in our local paper.
About 20 min drive from my home, I immediately contacted the seller, agreed on a fair
price and went there to fetch the saw the same day.

A little bit corroded from standing on a concrete floor in a barn for decades but with a good piston and overall good shape.
Nice find at the end of the year!

Makita’s dismantling of Dolmar is shameless. It’s pure woke crap. If they think they can usher in the age of electrics by simply discontinuing gas powered products they’re in for a rude awakening. they should just move to California and celebrate with Newsom. Their give away will gladly get picked up by the other saw manufacturers and life will go on. Except the money generated by saw sales will go elsewhere. I hate it for the employees at Dolmar. They just get the shaft.

Can’t put enough likes on this post!
Apparently, too many people think that all those batteries recharge themselves without fuel being used.

It’s ok. I like original copies of this kind of of stuff and I collect it. Got them for a bunch of saws in my collection.

I must be an idiot. I could not find any of the older Sachs Dolmars on that list.
You're no idiot , Makita is!
There indeed seem to be no "100" (100 - 166) model Dolmar saws listed.

Which ones are You looking for?

Speaking of PS-6800i and DCS6800i:
I just finished overhauling a Dolmar branded one a couple of days ago:

I really like this model (and its predecessor 120 si) a lot.
This one ist intended to do some real work so bar isn't shelf-style but a fairly used one...
