Would have nabbed it in a heartbeat, at that price..

It wasn't the cleanest 166 but just the same probably worth the
selling price. Do you have a link for the one on ebay.de.

Nice later model CT, Those are one of my favorites.
Fun saws to run.

If you ever come across a spare full wrap handle i'm in need of one.

Nice saw! Perfect for docking the logs off at the sawmill :)

Make me think of the blue ca I traded for, but got delivered to the wrong location and vanished into the ether.. :(

2 into 1 worked then... you like what you ended up with ?

Yes. It surprised me. The chain was still sharp and that is an old hard locust stump. Nice little rooster tail of chips. Especially considering it only has 125# of compression. It's very light, makes the Stihl 015's feel like bricks. The Stihl top handle bar won't work though. It needs a better bar.

I wonder...was the saw a bit dry up top when you tested it and now its had 2 stroke mix through it the compression icould be a little higher ? No matter though as it must have enough to run well ...just a though as i had a 5105 on test ...came in at 145 after a lay up and then once it had some fuel through it i got 175 psi.
Thats the top handles party trick..light and nimble ...tree climbers default saw here.

Could be I don't know how long it laid up. Wish I could find someone who knows these saws well. I'd like to rebuild the second one since it has a good coil and isn't beat up. Need to figure out the carb kit and a few other things.

Few lads here are bound to have had a few or worked on them ...carb kit should be ok if you can tell what it is ..Zama ?

It's in there pretty good. Probably have to pull it to get a number. Rather not have a pieced out saw setting around waiting for parts. My organizational skills could use some work.

Also on saw #2 the parts list is:
Clutch cover
Switch
Ring
Piston (maybe maybe not)
Whatever made it score
Bar and chain

Could be out of reach practically in terms of money.
