Stumbles at the top and as it’s doing that it acts like it’s foingbto die then does eventually if I give it more fuel at idle it will load up and quite then won’t re fire until you hold the throttle down and then it will fire.
It spools right up but if you let off it stumbles every other throttle squeeze.

The fact you had to look into the ignition in the first place may mean there is still a issue there . Am I correct on thinking that the metering diaphragm that fits the Bing is like the Tillotson carb and has a hook on button ?... worth checking . Is the metering arm in the Bing the non adjustable sort?

IMHO just by the shape of the bar's nose rollers it looks a bit strange on a 9010. Would probably look better on a pre-Sachs
Dolmar like a CA, CC or CT.
You don't happen to have one of these in your barn?

This is what Wilhelm is hiding for me... Waiting on reasonably priced parts for it to become a viable project. You can probably see the clutch cover is a stihl contra and there are other things that need addressed with it. Let’s be honest... I love the looks and it will eventually get here but it’s not a running CT or it would already be here! LOL

I got a box today...

From Cottle Lane

Inside the box was my early Christmas present from ME to ME (see how that worked?)

I had wanted a 5105 for a long time but procrastinated so long I figured I had completely missed out on a real Dolmar PS-5105

Until the Primate Porter got on the trail and dug up a NIB 5105 for my very own

IMG_4770.jpg

Came with the extra outboard dog so thats a plus

IMG_4773.jpg

Smells like banana oil...

IMG_4772.jpg

This threw me; full chisel but with the "puppy ear" safety bumpers

I expected semi chisel with double hump bumpers or something

IMG_4776.jpg

My neighbor heard me fire it up and wandered over

"That's a nice long "blade" on that saw"

It's a 20" and I have an 18" Total bar and some Archer and Oregon full chisel and semi chisel chains in Alaska that I will mail over before we come back in December along with sharpening gear etc

I have to say it pulled the 20" with no sweat but I think 18" will be better for balance and overall performance

IMG_4781.jpg

I filled it with 32:1 Yamalube 2R and NAPA bar oil (all I could get on short notice) and headed out to my leach field to take down 3 Kiawe (Peruvian Mesquite) trees that came up last year and had gone absolutely nuts

Kiawe (Hawaiian for "F@#$ that hurts")

IMG_4785.jpg

Two of my favorite "yard tools"; A Dolly and my Pullerbear

IMG_4788.jpg

A little dirty afterwards

IMG_4792.jpg

It oils like crazy

All in all I am thrilled with the saw and of course with the work that Mastermind did on it

It's a perfect little sister to the 7900 he built me

Cheers

That is a beautiful saw.

Vanguard chain is nothing to frown upon, I like them once I fix them.

I may have to see if I can get a new sticker from Randy for my MMWS6100. o_O

Hey Wilhelm, great to hear from you!!!

The chain actually cut well and I was remembering another chain with those dog eared bumpers

I must have used $15 worth of Dremel cutoff discs cutting them off

LOL

$15 to "fix" a $10 chain...

Us Americans are crazy
