Yep!Good things are happening for the poulan aftermarket. Was posted on chainsaw repair group FB a few days ago.
I saved the info and pics to my website couple days ago. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/poulan-4000-aftermarket/
Yep!
I'm the guy developing this setup, if anyone has any questions I'd be happy to oblige.
Looks like nitrile (buna-n) may be the way to go. Cant seem to find any sheets of it. Anyone?countryhog. About using an inner tube to makea fuel gasket?
Personally.... I've never had any luck with using inner tube material in contact with gasoline and oil. It always swelled up and went sorta mushy (especially so with gasoline). Then it just popped out from between whatever things it was supposed to stop the fuel from getting out of.
So I quit trying to use it, some years ago.
Now with my having said all that, maybe modern tubes could be made from something that will work now?
I just wouldn't get my hopes up, is all.

I think thats the seal that goes around the tank neck at the starter cover.I've always just matched up a o-ring even on the flat gasket ones.
