A friend of mine is getting this nice Allis Chalmers 95 with original bar and chain that runs. We said he would trade it to me for both of my model 195s, one of which I haven't troubleshooted yet and the other runs but is rough cosmetically with a 20 inch bar and chain. The 195s are more common so I'll probably be able to find another one. The 95s are really rare. Thinking about doing it.1000001325.png1000001239.jpg1000000045.jpg

Good looking 150, looks like is seen a pretty gentle life. Good luck, hope it's just a plug or switch problem!
Thanks, even in by the flywheel is not nearly as dirty as most. The switch feels a little weird and don't go all the way to the off position...

no spark sadly
Do you have a multimeter? If so put one lead on the cylinder (ground) and the other on the bottom lead of the spark plug. Set the meter to AC and give the several pull starts. If the meter shows deflections then you are getting something through the system, give all the electrical points along the way a good cleaning and maybe regap the coil. Try a different plug.

If you get no deflection then look at a good clean, inspect all electrical connection points, check gaps and then look at change out of components as last resort.

I have done this when I thought I wasn't getting any spark, but was getting something. Saved me from buying a coil or something when I didn't have to.

This came in today on trade, no spark sadly. Surprisingly clean tho and I have several parts saws so I will get it going eventually. View attachment 456293View attachment 456294
What does daddy Dallas think of all these non running saws you bring home ? Hopefully it’s an easy fix Logan. Glad to see you enjoy collecting saws just have to get more runners going.

I've had this series of saw apart several times and have every part on hand so it'll be a somewhat easy fix yes. Part of the reason so few run right now is because we moved and left 95 percent of my saws and tools 1.5 hours away because there's hardly any room at the new place and I probably want to have back when I graduate. I'll be back there again this summer tho, less than 2 months until I reunite with my tools and saws. Then the problem will be my slave-driver grandma and cattle ranch work hours, I'll make time tho to fix the saws.

Thats cute😄

Who do you find to trade this stuff with?
Various people from the forums and people that I know on Facebook/YouTube/discord.
Why? I guess you could load 2 trucks with your scrap. Did you see how much @redline4 had?
Yes I seen his posts. The 94' Chevy doesn't look to be nearly as rusty as my 02' and runs and drives, I don't think anything that fits that description is ready for the scrap yard unless the frame is cracked and has holes and the truck has been stripped of salvageable parts.

I meant the scrap in your shed, not the truck😂
