Good to hear from you.how are you and the other Allen doing?
Thanks for the info. I will see how it goes. There are several different style/types of fuel caps used on the 10 Series saws. On some of them you can grasp the insert with a pair of pliers and twist/pull it out. Be sure to thoroughly clean out all of the residue before installing the new duckbill valve.
The ones with the brass or plastic inserts are pretty easy.

There is another type with an aluminum insert that does not come out, and yet another where the whole inside of the cap is held in place with a couple of hollow rivets; I have not found a was to service either of those.

Bummer to hear, I have to wear my glasses and then some magnifiers with good light when working on stuff now. Hopefully your saw is an easy fix, like a needle bearing swap.Plus I'm losing what little vision I had left.I'll have to quit working on saws entirely very soon.I goty the new pump oiling, but my buddy ran the saw in oak with no oil & either fried the clutch or bearing or both. Now I gotta pull the drum to see what's going on.Some people are dangerous & idiots when ya put a saw in their hands.
Thanks Mark! Now I gotta see if I have those 2 screws on hand.I've used this on a few applications where high temperatures are expected. On instance last week was the M5 stud on the head of an 026 that hold the bumper.
