My Super 44 A came with the long screw and a 32" hard nose which is now on a 650 ,1/2" chain .The 44A now has an open roller 24" that came on a 250 ..404 chain .The 250 which has a rim drive now has an 18" 50 thou groove NOS Oregon hard nose with an 8 tooth 3/8" rim . Believe it or not that bar took a 72 driver chain same as 20" Stihl bar . Musical bars as opposed to musical chairs .
I just remembered this odd ball . 18" hard nose with two flying geese a 5/16" slot and no oil hole .Above is a standard bar you normally see with a 3/8"slot and oil holes .

Top one's probably off a 33/35/37, they are the only Mac I can think of that had no oiler system in the bar, they just shot a stream of bar oil at the chain!

I have a few simple questions about SP105 small parts interchangeability. I am looking for the choke-pull and the manual oiler push button.

Do the 10-series plastic parts transfer over?

How does the manual oiler push button attach to the rod? Or is the rod and push button an integrated unit?

Thank you!

Not to drift off too bad but the subject of oiling brings up some older ideas .I have an old Lombard with an AH-47 PP engine that has an auto oiler pushing the oil out a hole in the sprocket .It also has a Tillotson boat motor carb, float type mounted on a 45 degree angle .Meaning you can only tilt it one way to make a horizontal cut . I had it running, wasn't overly fast .About like a snail ,old snail at that .Obviously a shelf queen .

Sp105 and 10 series parts you mention are not interchangeable. The oil rod attaches to a hole in the underside of the pushbutton. It takes some coordination to line it up but not crazy. The choke side is just round stock with a hole on the end to attach the linkage. But it also has a slot on it that has an o ring on it.

As for the 105's as far as I know the only thing that might fit are the parts from an SP 125 .If I get a chance in the next few days I'll snap a picture .I also think they made many more 125's than 105's .The later I've only seen two in my life and I own one of them .Now just a wild guess but the oil button from a 250 or something might be adapted because the manual oil pump from the looks of the IPL looks about the same . The auto pumps are not the same though .
Now keep in mind several different designs of thumb button were used on these models and likely slightly different rods as well .

Ive only personally seen 1 sp105. Its in my basement. Great runner and gobs of power. I run a tank or.2 thru it every year just to hear it. I have an extra choke rod for it if you need one. But i dont have an extra oiler pushbutton. If you need it let me know. I got it in a allotment of parts on ebay. It was mixed in. My sp105 is in use in my avatar picture actually. Ha

I've got pictures ,the easy part of it .Now the hard part .Firstly the choke and pump buttons .An extra choke button is in the pic showing the groove for the afore mentioned o-ring .It's the only one extra I own so sorry I'm going to keep it .Note the clip connecting the button to the linkage .I had one break on a 125 and get sucked up into cylinder and stick in a transfer port .Lucky it didn't hurt it .
The oiler is not that easy ,next pic .

The oiler uses a heavy linkage that connects underneath the air box and drops down to the pump which is located right side about 1 inch down from the top of the oil tank in the wall of the tank it's just a simple plunger type pump with an o-ring seal .If they get stiff run some diesel fuel through the oiling system .At any rate the rod is made of some robust rod stock looks to be at least 3/16 " .Remember this linkage is pushing .DSCN1168[1].JPG DSCN1167[1].JPG

Pic of a 250 which is nearly the same except the linkage is inside the air box for the most part .Unlike the 250 the oiler button on the 105 is much different as it connects the linkage under the button .

I got a call from a buddy today, "Hey Daniel, guess what I just picked up!" Long story short, I'll be picking up all 4 saws soon and one 125 is getting fixed and returned to him, the far right one is parts only, and I may get the other one in exchange for fixing the first one. And, I may be getting first crack at the gear drive, whatever it may be.

The one circled in red has a round muffler and a thinner fan housing, so I'll bet there's something interesting going on there...
