Well you certainly know more about that than I do ,you win .If McBob were still among the living he could verify exactly what I said but he's not .Now then for clarification it was announced on some forum from whoever had these copies ,4 or 5 would be on flea bay .I got the first Robert got the second and used it to make a CD ROM with other materials he had or found . He sent me a copy of it .I've also got a set of micro fiche with the only IPL of a Mac BP1 I've ever seen and most likely will never own .I have no way however to convert them to a loadable file .--and with that ends this debate .

Update on Bob Johnson.I got an emai yesterdayl from "Miss Joan" (Bob's lady friend).
"Bob had 2 stents inserted into a partially plugged artery. He still has one 100% plugged, they can’t do anything with that one. The alternative would be a bypass but Bob is too weak at this time to endure it. The plan is for him to go to a rehab facility soon. Still has blood issues. He will be happy to know that his McCullouch family is praying for his health."

The only one I've come across is this one. SP81 isn't mentioned.
Someone who has a full set of MAC manuals would likely be able to check the rest of the publication to see if there are pages that include other saws. Publication SI 543. Here's the only page I have.

Here's an update on Bob J.He's coming along nicely in the cardiac rehab unit & should be coming home soon, but still has a long way to go.This info is from his lady friend Joan.I'd have to say that if not for all your prayers Bob most likely wouldn't have made it this far.

Thanks for keeping us updated on Bob J. I have done a ton of biz with him over the years, truly a great guy. Hope he recovers soon.

I went on a road trip to pick up a Cat Feller Buncher i bought.
I was also fortunate and was the first call on some vintage chainsaw stuff, the seller held it till i got there.
Got a mixture of old saws some NOS parts and a box of manuals.
In the batch of saws i got a Super 55 and a 4/30A neither one i had.
it will be next winter befor i can do much with any of it but i took a few pictures to share some of the interesting stuff.gp saws.jpg gp saws12.jpg gp saws3.jpg gp saws8.jpg

Back a couple of pages (post #8091) I showed some photos of the 3 piece sawdust screen I'd been working on for the older CP70L and early 7-10 models.

With the accidental success of printing the square grids in a vertical orientation I asked my Engineer friend to redraw the later 10 Series screens with the same square grid pattern. The results are not bad.

3D in front on an older 10 Series cover, OEM screen in back on a PM800 cover.

With the starter cover assembled these are really solid.

I guess I'll have to discount the earlier versions to make way for the latest square grid version.

Well, late last year I grew tired with Macs and liquidated my collection of saws and parts and I figured that once I finished restoring my uncle's 10-10 for him I'd be done with Macs forever. Fast forward to this morning, I was doing an evaluation at a guy's house when I noticed an old Mac sitting outside next to his shop. It was faded, missing the filter lid, filter, and muffler face but I figured I'd see why he had it. "Oh, I was planning on mounting my mailbox to it. Why? Do you want it?" $10 later I have a Mac 640 that turns over smoothly, pumps oil, and will need the water drained out of the gas tank. Not the 797 I hoped it was, but still a pretty cool saw. As soon as I get a few other projects finished up I'll try and track down a muffler, filter, filter lid, .404 sprocket, and whatever else it needs.

Yep, just when I thought I was over it it's back again! To be fair, I've always regretted selling my 1-62 and I've wished I could have an old gear drive behemoth around, so this kinda filled both niches. Plus, it was only $10! Worst case I can part it out and make a pretty decent profit!

I did a preliminary checkup on the 640, the fuel tank was full of water but no rot, gear case was full of water but no rot, crankcase was full of water but no visible rot, saw has impressive compression, a clean piston, and strong enough spark to jump start a car! It's looking like I'll have to split the fuel tank and gear case and I've started thinking, I'm going to be sending a 10-10 to @Glock37 anyways and the 640 has a p!ss poor rattle can job that's sun faded as all getout, maybe I should send it off when I send off the 10-10......

Yeah, my only three qualms are cost, disassembly/reassembly time, and the fact that I prefer a good ol' used machine to a new looking one.
