I have a Mac 10-10 that has a similar issue, specialized fuel filter, but I am missing the components for it, I just have the fuel line. It was recommended to me to take a regular fuel filter and connect it to a short piece of fuel line and just insert that fuel line in the Mac fuel line. Might be a temporary fix for you until you find what you need. My Mac D-44 has a felt fuel wick about the size of a 4x6 card, I ended up ordering it from Mark @Hinerman . He may have some of what you need or might be able to help you find suitable sub material. Felt erasers may work, but might be wise to test it with fuel before installing in the saw, you don't necessarily want to go through all the trouble only to have it fall apart and clog everything up.
You have the wrong @ link for Mark

What I've seen on a couple of saws that I bought was a conventional fuel filter that was plugged directly into the existing fuel line & apparently it worked just fine.I also had what I think was a larger Homelite saw where the fuel line was good, but the cup that held the filter was destroyed,so I clipped off the cup & just stuck a filter into what was left of the line.

Just a heads up .Although it's very seldom seen on rare occasions the fuel lines can collapse which will stop all fuel flow and often mistaken for a faulty carb or a plugged fuel filter .I went through this recently on a Husqvarna 2100 that was fast driving me insane .

Hi need to replace tensioner on a 6-10 . It’s buckled in on itself so will need to cut off. Right now I can’t screw off because of bind. My Question is will the left hand start 10-10 tensioner assembly work. Numbers don’t match so I would say not, but that is all I’m finding on the bay.

@heimannm Mark just might have the proper items that you seek. He may be along shortly.

Im betting that’s just a standard thread machine screw so you should be able ro find and adequate replacement for the screw part and just save the tensioner pin and nut if mark doesn’t have the correct part. To get it off I’d take the nut off the end push screw head away from saw cut it off then you should be able to pull the tensioner out of saw. Hold pin with pliers and use a pair of vice grips to runs left over screw out of tensioner pin.

102144 is 10-24x2-1/4" long for the short clutch cover like the 6-10, 7-10, and most 10-10 models.
110527/216636 is 10-24x2-3/4" long for the PM style long clutch covers.

I have the screws and the 61705 bar adjust nuts if you need parts and can't find something locally.

For that matter with a bit of ingenuity you can make a tensioner .Fact I made one for 650 gear drive but used a 1/4" grade 8 socket head cap screw .If you could find a 10-24 bolt long enough ,full threaded that would be the ticket .A grade 8 being hard carbon steel won't bend.I didn't check but might say McMaster -Carr might be a source or e-bay .

I took the SP125 out cutting today on that big 'ol oak & ran into a problem.I got it stuck in a cut & figured no problem,I'll just go get a wedge & pound it in the cut.The 1st wedge broke & went flying so I went & got another wedge.I got the saw ouit of the cut alright, but then I couldn't start it because the pulley wasn't catching on the pawls.Mark,I hope you've got 125 recoil parts!

Tough luck. I went through the same pinched bar thing with a mac 10-10 in a nice ash tree. One of my mculloch cart saws recoil is doing the same thing. Not sure what causes it.

A lot of times the springs on the pawls get sprung for want of a better explaination .Some times one or the other of the pawl spring end gets broken off .Some times you can unwind and form another anchor point and some times you can't .
The pawl pins on a 125 are threaded so it isn't a problem removing the assembley. If Mark doesn't have the parts just look on flea bay for something close .

Well, after the GTG at Randy’s yesterday, my son is wanting a vintage Mac, lol. Found this one on FB marketplace for $75 not far from me. I’ve not had time to start researching Macs, so can one of you fine gentleman tell me what I’m looking at?

Yeah, they are addictive, I have a D44, two 10-10s and now a 200 in the mail. I need to spend less time buying them a more time working on them. I really think they are neat on how they are built, more fun than working on the newer saws. I think of it like working on classic cars! I need to get a sand blaster and get set up to start powder coating parts.

If your son is interested in getting into the yellow&blackers get him a 10-10. The 10-10s are easy to find and a much better example of mcculloch then a mac 15 which is a very heavy slow saw.

Might as well get both, cause we all know what happens after you get one😁

Yeah Mac 15 if I'm not mistaken is the first McCulloch.
