I am. It still doesn't answer why every single IPL has the 1.81 piston listed....unless they copied one for all the models ?

I've found the over bores are definitely marked/stamped if you get a strange measurement.
That being said the 20 was stamped the fuel tank side of the block flange.

Mine measured at 1.744-1.745... hard to be precise with a straw. Definitely not 1.81. 54cc it is. So the questions is, how do we get an IPL that lists the correct part numbers ? Even the Mac one has the 1.81 listed.

This should do..., for the most part.

Might be as close as we are going to get. From my understanding the later pro mac 10-10 saws were electronic ignition as well. I'm surprised McCulloch has this screwed up so bad. Will you provide a copy of the pro mac 10-10 you have that lists all the dashes ?

Does anyone know of any aftermarket or OEM replacement for the SP81 crank bearings? I’m having a hell of a time getting either side and so is my supplier. Says he’s never seen one like the flywheel side with the shoulder it has.

Any help would be appreciated.

63429B is listed as the flywheel side
87152 is the clutch side.
I’m not sure if this is going to be a watch eBay everyday type thing or not but I haven’t had issues finding other crank bearings before; that’s normally the easiest part. That’s what my IPL says maybe they changed part numbers with the 850? If that even takes the same bearings I’m not sure.
Thanks

I wouldn’t mind it if they were good. I like going new just for peace of mind and I’m already in there, but honestly it’ll only get used for fun so maybe 20 tanks a year type thing.
So yeah I wouldn’t mind used.
Thanks

Clutch side bearing is MAC PN 104357 for the SP81

That crosses to a BH-108 full compliment bearing. Very common and easy to come by.

PN 87152 is the bearing insert (collar).

The BH108 is also used in the 10 series mac's on the clutch side. Good info.

According to the publication guide....

....they only made PM10-10's until '82. That would preclude a later 57cc model..., at least a chrome bore version according to at least one Service Bulletin which specified the introduction of 57cc 10 Series chrome bores didn't occur until 1983.

What is wrong with the old bearings?
The saw was locked up. Piston/Cyl all scored. It looks like it was straight gassed because the saw itself is actually in really good shape. The clutch side bearing didn’t have much left of its needles and the crank looked like pushed to one side and the bearing wore into it a bit. I forget which side, it’s been awhile since I tore it apart. But the bearings were shot
