that's impressive that they had a 7.6 sec cycle time. And an 11 ft capacity! wow.

My wife bought this around Thanksgiving, my old ugly but trusty is in the background. Now that I have a spare the old one is getting a makeover this spring.

Right now I only have a Speeco 22 ton. It does great for what I've needed so far. It's looking like in the next year I'll be needing to upgrade.

This weekend I tried out a SS and a TW-6. IMHO, a perfect pair, but I'm only needing 1. While the SS will bury you in wood, it's not ideal for big wood IMHO. It's looking like I'll be in the market for a hydro splitter with a lift and adjustable wedge.

One splitter I want to try yet is a Split Fire.

The way I'm leaning right now though is the guy on AS who builds them out of Iowa.

The first one I seen or run belongs to a friend of mine. Same model as mine.
He and his Dad went to the Manufacturer to buy one when in the early 70's.
Said they were making 24 footers with a 3' tall wedge for shipment to So America.

Damn those were pricey! I gave 409 for mine. It has a single stage 6 gpm pump on it. I absolutely love the auto cycle valve on it!!! Way cool, thanks for sharing.

Cool, another Lickity fan.

I got a bit more than that in mine. The 2 stage cylinder models only run a 3.2 gpm pump.

They had an attachment that kicked the lever back in at the end of the return stroke.

Lever forward engine goes wot and splits w/o holding the lever, goes full stroke, returns automatically and drops to an idle.

Yep, they all do that, auto return. The part I'm referring to kicks the lever back in (moves ram forward) at the end of the return stroke.
