Good morning ever'body 40* now 44* for H 32* tomorrow AM, just fired up the Fisher to knock of the chill, built this place with 8" walls R-36+half/inch of foam, it's pretty easy to over-heat and real easy to cool. The comfort is worth the investment. Gonna add some solar water next. The solar to grid is pretty crazy in Ky,not worth it.

The bacon is on n the biscuits're get'n brown, nuthr inside day for me tho, the crud lingers. Have a good day folks.
Good morning Sherm'n hope all is well at yours today my friend :headbang:

Nice the fkd up backwards state I live in charges you a minimum monthly hook up fee of 50 bucks or something and then what ever you feed back in to the grid those credits only last a month. It like they don't want you to have solar.

Dafuq! What a sham. Hope the Trump liberates us from that kind of self-sufficiency-robbing tyranny, but I'm not holding my breath.

Morning fellas...60 heading to mid-60's and a little rain first thing, but won't last long. Cold front pushing through today, definately see cooler temps by the wknd. Enjoy the day, be safe.

Hey @USMC615 I just got another Disaster declaration from one of your senators — how are things down there by you? So much going on at home and work, I was off the grid for a while here, figuratively speaking, so I kinda missed a bunch. Didya miss any days, I trust the BX and Commissary kept running?

SECOND FEDERAL MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION ISSUED FOR COUNTIES IN GEORGIA

ALBANY, GA – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) welcomed today’s federal major disaster declaration for additional counties in Middle and Southwest Georgia impacted by major storms and tornadoes on January 22, 2017. This declaration is distinct from yesterday’s declaration, which was in response to the storms that occurred on January 2, 2017. This new declaration opens up additional eligibility for federal disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

This second federal major disaster declaration specifically includes FEMA Individual Assistance for Berrien, Cook, Crisp, Dougherty, Turner, and Wilcox counties. FEMA Individual Assistance provides federal resources for impacted individuals and households, including financial assistance for temporary housing, home-repair, and damage to essential household items. This assistance also covers disaster-related childcare, medical, and essential vehicle expenses.

FEMA is still reviewing which counties will be newly eligible for FEMA Public Assistance under the new declaration. FEMA’s Public Assistance program provides resources for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.

Finally, the declaration provides statewide eligibility for FEMA’s hazard mitigation program, which provides grants for actions taken to prevent or reduce long-term risk to life and property from natural hazards.

“This second, expanded major disaster declaration will be essential to providing much needed resources to those in Middle and Southwest Georgia that were impacted by the severe weather this month," said Congressman Bishop. "Georgians have always proven to be resilient, and this time will be no different. With FEMA’s assistance, we will work together to restore a sense of normalcy to our communities.”

Further information on eligibility for FEMA assistance, local resources, and the application process can be found at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. Those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS) can call 1-800-621-3362. The toll-free telephone numbers are currently operational from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Eastern Time) seven days a week.

We are lucky we have solar power our power bill is generally $15.00 every 3 months we feed back into the grid almost everyone has it over here ,one thing we have plenty of is sun

I think our new energy secretary ought to hear that.

I think we pay about $95-130 a month :rolleye:depending on air conditioning season -- and they say it's going to go up again soon.:yikes:

And I have to guess you are using some pretty heavy electricity for a/c in the hot season in Perth -- but only paying $15 a mo with solar -- but like our friend from Kansas said -- the way they do solar credits here — for the most part — is ass-backwards.:asz:

Hey Phil. Things are not too bad where I'm at, but the counties listed in the disaster declaration are still pretty tore up. A couple of those counties (Crisp Co/Wilcox Co) are within about a 50 min-1hr drive from me. Things got pretty hectic in those and other surrounding counties for a couple of days straight. A tornado touched down about 8 miles south of me here in Warner Robins but was headed due east. It collapsed a part of the roof on one of our Walmart SuperCenters and tore some houses up pretty bad in that area, but no fatalities in that one.

Everything pretty much stayed up and running around here, they did cancel all OT aircraft work for that wknd, but the base remained open and everything there was open.

It goes up a little in the winter due to no sun obviously but generally it's pretty low
