I cut it in a drizzle, then it rained a little the next day. That afternoon the sun came out. Tedded it the next day, baled the next afternoon. Just caught it right.

It's in the barn for the cows....

I wish you could come up here to help me, as we have several hundred acres yet to start on. The orchard grass is toast now. I will be selling nothing this year. And more rain for 6 more days still!!

I just cut 50 acres or so. Can't imagine having 100s.

I don't farm for a living, but do farm for wildlife. We finished up planting 100 acres of grain sorghum and 130 acres of corn in the food plots. Started spraying the corn today. It amazes me how fast that Johnson grass can start coming on! The weather has us behind on spraying. It doesn't help we have two tractors down and are relying on a JD4455 with 10,400 hours and a 1965 JD 3020 to do the planting this year. Got one going today, AC was stopped up in the expansion valve. It's about time to start spraying the dove fields so we can burn them off and disk later this summer.

That's how it was a few years ago for my father in law and I when we took over haying from his father in law. All the equipment was unreliable and falling apart. We damn near have it all to perfect shape now. Have to go home tonight and finish the rake. Needed tires, left wheel bearings/ seals and drive paw and hardware in the left hub. Still need to mount the tires on the round baler.

Got my rake back together. Going to try it out Tuesday. Hopefully cutting Sunday!

I have a 256 with the two wheels on the tongue, Much easier to hook up I think. Can't beat those N.H. rakes. My 24 year old 8 wheel double fold wheel rake is starting to get a lot of ware on the teeth now, as you know, the teeth are not cheap. ( many of them )

I have a 4 wheel 3 point rake as a back up rake. I've only used it a few times. That thing has a learning curve! I still have a lot to learn how to use it properly.

Anybody have any tips for a mounted wheel rake?

I've seen the 256 with the dollies. I can see it turning alot tighter. But then you have twice as many tires to go flat!

Been used many years, still works, 256 with the dolly. Not use it much anymore, since we use the hyd . folding wheel rake. ( note tires are dry rotten )
