Ole chicken schmitt is great nitrogen. In the early 80's when the big turkey buildings were going up to the west there were guy fighting for turkey schmitt.

I let it lay there for a few days just to aggravate the neighbors
The aromatic bliss that comes off poooooooo is the ammonia gassing off. I want it worked in as soon as possible so that ammonia can bond with the soil and be useable nitrogen for the crops.

That being said, there is one neighbor that is an absolute d-bag and I try to spread the compost pile along his fence line every spring. That stuff stinks long after it’s tilled in.

I worked up around 130 acres yesterday with around 100 of it having manure on it. 10% done with spring tillage already and it feels pretty good !!

Looks like Wild has acclimated just fine!
She has, thankfully!
She is a great addition to my runners and the four of them seem to get along very well.

She diligently lays one egg a day, my Runner does one egg every two days.

We finished up hauling pooooo and I decided to warsh the flavor off the skiddy.

Time to load up and head to the field to pick some rocks !!
IMG_3448.jpeg

The girls wanted to come with so I stuck them in the tractor to follow us around. They had a good time like usual. Makes me smile watching them work together.

The rock bucket seemed a little wonky so I popped the dust cover off and whoops. There is some carnage in there 😬

Tore into it and seems like I finally found the limits of the Robo rock picker bucket. Gonna have to get some parts Monday so I can get back after it !!

Just add more grease, that bearing had lots of life left.
Honestly it probably would have been fine as it spins soooooo slowly but I replaced everything in there as long as it was apart.

I got to use my new seal drivers that double as sockets to put it all together.

Sockets are good at much more than just being sockets.

IMG_7532.jpegGot ready to leave and truck wouldn’t go Had to jump the truck with the tractor. Not sure I’ve ever done that. Took me a moment of thinking. Didn’t really wanna call anyone for a jump.

Also found my vice grips 😂. Nah I knew they were there. Long story.
