Maize is what they call corn in the rest of the world. The scientific name is Zea Mays.

Thanks, as I had 5 years of Ag. class back in school, and the word ( Maize ) was never mentioned . ( And I have a state farmers degree ) lol!

The one on the left is out of a Jersey cow......with an Angus bull. He's gonna be a tasty steer.

Cut silage for 3 days, the neighbor and I had a custom chopper come in and cut 125 acres of corn. Had 1850 feet of 10 foot bag, worst was about 80 bu. Best 130. I’ll guess at least I’ll have feed for the stock now . I got 1050 feet ,it will look really nice in about a month.

Got to love them Jersey's As I milked them for years. Bread to Hereford bulls. Made a little money with the Veal's and the butter. Takes many hours to make the butter though.

Finally got some hay moved Saturday. With the self unloading trailer.

This Jersey I have came with the land when I bought it. I'm not much interest in milking her......but did for awhile. We made butter......had more milk than we could drink.
