This seasons garlic harvest is nearly cured / dried. With this effort turning out as tasty as it did, I'm already prepping for this falls planting.
Stopped by a local grower and picked up a couple of varieties of seed garlic for the next batch.

Music, small bulbs bundled are smaller for culinary/eating, and the larger fresh harvested (needs to be cured) for the next crop.

And then a smaller amount of Armenian, also very tasty.

I hope to have enuf room after planting those varieties to include a replant of the Chesnok red that I am enjoying from this years harvest.

I'm thinking about letting several cloves of the new plantings this fall, be grown on the 2-year till harvest plan.

View attachment 385473Yes it’s done. So new belts last fall new clutch new tines new guards. She worked when I pulled her in the shop so maybe the feed will be nice and silky now. I’ll have to cut some to try her out

looking good should work pretty darn good

Good friend of mine has this Vermeer Rebel 5410 for sale. His wife does not want rounds only small squares from JD 328. I stopped doing that field work after last leg blood clot. I did use it last year for about 15 rounds, was going to rain and just want to get remained put up. It is a twine baler and that computer allows you to set starting, middle and end wrap counts. She should do some field work, round bales are soooo much easier. Thinking he would want around 11,000. IMG_9232.JPGIMG_9233.JPGIMG_9234.JPGIMG_9235.JPGIMG_9236.JPG
