Mostly corn and soybeans here in central ky. Bout 100 head of black cows, and some hay. I plant with a 1790 16/31 deere planter on 15" spacing. It's been a wet spring, it's the end of may and we aren't even half done. Got a few dry days so I'm gonna try and mud some in later yoday.20160523_085928.jpg

Wish I had ground that layed like that! There's nothing flat about the ground we farm. My biggest field is 23 acres down to a single acre.
A lot of running to get over 400 acres.

That field is a 20 normaly. But sometimes it's all under water. :(

We also have to irrigate everything. But we have some pivots nowadays so that is really nice. Are RR weeds an issue in your part of the country? Just kinda curious since they are rumored to be in my area.

Round up resistant weeds haven't been a issue around here YET...

Sounds like they are here this year though... A large chopping outfit got back from chopping in Indiana and last fall and didn't clean their choppers out before they moved up here.

Needless to say they've been spread here

That is no good to hear. We have a few cases of it near me but those people had it coming with how they sprayed ditch banks for years. I change mode of action on all chemical that I can year to year.

That's how a buddy of mine got mares tail in his one big rental field. Came in with the combine. I live on the road to the elevator. Starting to see it in the ditches.

Damn I hate that. I use the sickle bar a lot. Usually get rabbits or groundhogs. At least a haybine finishes them off.

I have hit rabbits, turkey and small deer, the worst shudders in the hay one have come from snakes.

Last year we were out in waist high beans pulling out mares tail that was over our head. Not sure if it was the resistant kind but it was bad and only around the edges of the fields.
