As long as it keeps running. I mean how long does it take to get 3500 worth of use out of a tractor?

Three years ago this 12 acre field was nothing but a big weed patch. Over my head with sumac scrub and multi floral rose. Yeah....it has a lot of sage grass yet, but it also has some damn nice grass. After I get it cleared off, I'll pour the lime to it. Maybe that will help with the sage.

Most of this is red top grass. Old school forage.

Thick stuff here. Might never get dry enough.

Wow......of course you should take a camera.
Any chance of getting those gears repaired in a machine shop?
I don’t know of a shop right off hand plus I already ordered the parts.
I guess now that you say that I should look into it.
Might be brittle anyhow. New parts are always the best bet.
I'm beginning to think I need to pour a slab in my barn just to split my tractors instead of having anyone else work on them. I've not heard anything about my 2640 in awhile.
I’m sure you would use it.
I don’t think we’d be able to operate without doing our own repairs. It’s not only the cost but it’s the turn around time and Quality of work.
I love those case combines. How many hours does she have.I’ve always liked these quotes.
“Don’t get New Paint fever”
“High prices will bankrupt you faster than low prices”
“The best tool on a Farm is a sharp pencil”
“Do the $25 - $1,000 dollar per hour jobs yourself”
Point is use your pencil and save yourself a bunch of money by figuring things out.
The cost of a repairs, seed, fertilizer and supplies.
Sometimes an hour spent figuring things can save several hundreds to thousands of dollars these days.
