Rain has been good here considering the heat. Been tricky on the haying. Managed to get 40 acres of 2nd cutting up last weekend dry. Cut the seedling alfalfa yesterday. Forcast was 20% till Thursday night. Got 1.3" this morning and now there calling 50 & 60% chances for the rest of the week.

I just layed down bout 7 8 acres ish heavy grass. What you fellas spray your hay with ? I don't mind some weeds and certain kinds of weeds can actually be a good thing if your feeding your own stock. Anyhow I'm getting a heavy stand of milkweed. Any suggestions out there. Also when should I spray? Next spring this fall now? Dry as balls here too fellas corn needs it bad

Just bought tomatoes. Ten plants no 'maters. Finally got some zuchs and lemon cucumbers and the collards are hanging in. On a high note the raspberries are doing well.

It takes time and persistent to clean up a hay field...... I would start with spot spraying with roundup & 24D. Kill the big patches. I'm not sure what you could use on the whole field.

Is your hay RR or conventional? If conventional try buckdryl and buturack it is a good combo if the stand is short anyways. RR is only tolerant to glyphosate up to 9" with the seed I plant anyways. Not sure what you have planted. Hope this is of some use to you my friend.

Just kill them be for they pod out. If there's only a handful you can kill them with a shovel in the time it takes to set up a sprayer.

I've never had ongoing problems with milkweed. Whack them once and they're gone. You may want to look at a nutrient deficiency that they are taking advantage of. You could kill them with fertilizer.

I can spray with a garden hose off the field sprayer also. I use it for fence line and brush.

Had a wheezy heifer this morning. Got her up and shot her with 24cc of LA-200. She seems better already. Amazing stuff.

Just ordered new sections for my sickle bar. The grass is growing fast here since it started raining.

How's things with y'all?
