These are tentative classes set up many months ago. A lot has changed since then. If planned to use one cant per class, I see that 5 to 6 8x8’s, three 10x 10’s are needed. This does not include the 1 or 2 cants that get used before the racing starts. This is hard to know when the total number of racer are unknown. In the back ground there is some interest in some exhibition type racing( cold start, alky saws). Speak up now to help make this a great turn out. This type of racing is better suited in a sanctioned event where there are announcers, time keepers and ran on a schedule. But..... this could be an opportunity for the crowd to see saws at another level.
In the past years I’ve wore myself out with picking up cookies, changing wood, putting the classes together, trying to run classes, starting the race, walking to the other side of the property to get the next person in place. It has been a fun time for me, I couldn’t of done it with out help of others that were there. But I am not going to wear myself out this year.
For now, until it is known who is racing, then we can determine wood, how many cuts, style of cutting. The classes are what is stated above. Please run the correct cubic inch saw in the correct class, or I will call you out! I can make this happen or I can sit in a lounge chain and cheer.
Questions or comments, please feel free to ask, call me if needed.
