Around here, Makita has almost zilch OPE presence. What little they have is Home Depot and a few other rental places. You ain't gonna become a competitive saw maker just supplying rentals, that market is miniscule compared to retail.

What happens when Echo makes HD a sweet deal on providing rental saws? I'm genuinely surprised it hasnt happened already. Customer rents a saw, likes it, buys a new one from the same place. Win-win for everybody.

God think of how easy it'll be to jack firewood with a 70cc equivalent electronic saw. At least in the east where it's densely settled and the trees are small enough where you can't hear the crash much more than a couple hundred feet away.

I doubt an OPE maker is gonna produce a 90cc chainsaw because 50 chainsaw sluts on a forum want one...save your breath..

Just 50? I see more than 50 people with 390s and 661s everyday. A 90cc class saw would be huge asset for makita. Let's get real here.

I've never seen a makita chainsaw in my area..ever.

Never saw one in the woods of montana..ever.

Know alot of guys in the tree business..they never saw one..ever.

If it was "REAL" and makita could make a profit they would produce one.

It seems like not producing a 90cc saw sounds real to them too.

They have a tiny dealer network..that's real.

You live in Montana. I've never even met anyone from Montana. So is there even people from there?

I find it sad for Montonians (correct?) If you've never seen a dolmar or makita saw..

Their dealer network is bigger than you want to admit. Go to home depot.

I was in Montana for a few months.

I do go to home depot..still never saw a makita chainsaw, my boss has been in the tree business 15 years..never saw a makita chainsaw.

If I had a dealer like Nate it's probably the only chainsaw brand I would have.

So you haven't seen a dolmar chainsaw either?

Home depot can order whatever you want.

Never saw someone with a dolmar chainsaw ..ever.

And the idiot's that work at my home depot dont know the difference between a 16d and 8d nail.

I'd hate to see them make an effort to serve my chainsaw needs.
