The trying to convince Jeff to buy a dolkita threadKentucky has a strange rule that passengers can drink as long as they are not in front with the driver. However, it's a moot point as we still have lots of other laws you would be breaking even sitting in the back seat. At minimum, drinking alcoholic beverage in a public place not licensed to serve as a roadway is a public place. Sometimes, when you buy beer at a store an older clerk will insist on putting it in a brown paper bag. This is a leftover from old city and county ordinances which prohibited openly displaying alcoholic beverages outside of licensed premises.
