I do not personally sell anything. I sell port work. JSS is a business partner the port work he sells is done here. The saws are on par. I have a few demo saws people can actually run before they buy port work. If you are intresting in running one send me a message. I have nothing to hide. I have no unsatisfied customers. If the day comes I do they will be took care of. I'm pretty open about everything I do. I'm just making some money doing somthing I enjoy. I dont claim to be the best or anywhere near but the saws run plenty respectable when they leave my shop. I'm not out to rip people off. So I spoke up.... I'm not trying to start a argument... If you disagree... that's fine... but I'm not one of the guys dremeling saws and charging premium prices. So I dont like being paired with them. I have done nothing to be put in that category.
I'll run one of your saws and I'll give it a fair, unbiased comparison to saws I have here from other builders. I have saws from five other builders - four who market most of their work on this site and one who primarily advertises on Facebook. I'll pay shipping both ways and I'll pay for any wear and tear or additional parts it would need on either end. I always test saws with brand new, off-the-roll Stihl square-ground chain so there's no whining.
My problem is with those who hype up things like ported Hozzlforma saws. Even if you put an OEM crank, bearings, seals, top end, intake boot, and ignition into a Hozzlforma saw, you still don't have a professional-level machine. By using tag lines like "These saws really rip!" and "High performance work saws" - that leads people to believe they are professional quality machines, when they're not, even if that wasn't the intention. I tried all the Chinese junk when I was working in the woods and I worked with Bailey's on the development of the big bore kits way back when, even providing them saws for R&D. In the end, that stuff just does not last in a commercial application.
