I have a strato 3816 if anyone wants it. They did make a Wild Thing version of this exact model. Funds are pretty tight right now so you have to pay shipping. I think it has a fairly new Oregon 18" bar on it. Let me find it and I'll post pics.

Every strato one of these guys I have picked up has been the same displacement. Have a 42cc predator as well at the moment. Same engine family/displacement... LoL

I will have to think about this little project. I have zero experience porting a saw but it does sound like fun. Hopefully it will help get through the long winter.

Poulan has been using the same displacement for several models since at least the 90's. Looking at parts listings, all the parts which affect displacement are the same.

I'm pretty sure just about all of them are 42cc. I have seen a 40cc version of the old non strato saws, but not very often.

Just throwing this out there. They do make a 42cc variant of the Poulan Predator as well. Im “guessing” its same as wild thing, just different colors. If those r included it would give more options and availability to guys.

Check your local Craigslist and FB Marketplace and any other online sales places you may have for a Wild Thing, they are plentiful and dirt cheap.
Hate to see folks start out ahead or behind just for having a different saw, see. Especially when this is more of a visual cutting competition and not real head to head racing, where looks don't matter only fastest man and machine do. Which is why I implemented the 5 like penalty for having another Poulan "Mart" model.
