That 359 :eek::rocker:

352's make the best sleepers. I've heard of people stuffing KTA 600's in them as well

The Pete 389 above has a 1693 installed is what I was told, WHY WHY WHY. Lots of money involved right there, I am a engine / truck guys so I do think it is pretty cool.
Ryan.

The long nose was a sleeper truck originally, engine was put in by the original owner it was his personal log/fifth wheel truck.

That's a truck that can be a top pick at an ATHS show

And for those of you who've never heard a 1693

My bad Mark, a buddy of mine in Longview ,Wa sent that to me. At first glance it looked like a late model 389. The owner has some pretty rad trucks.
Ryan.

Easy to mistake, easiest way to spot a 359 is the air cleaner elbow going through the hood, 389’s don’t have that.

Passing coolant Skeans?? Is that an electrified Perkins? Surprised to see it's a spacer plate engine. I take it as 18000 hours. Not bad for your application for sure.

It was still running but had a small head gasket leak it was passing oil into the coolant. No it’s a Tier 2 engine nice and simple, no spacer plate on the top deck. If that head gasket hadn’t of gone it still be running no problem we’re just doing the full rebuild out of preventative maintenance the machine is a 97 carrying a lot of extra load length then it was ever designed for.

No worries. Those days with my kids were the happiest days of my life. Life moves fast. Pick them up and hug them. They'll be grown before you know it!
