Nice weather definitely. Ya I bet. There stumps are considerably higher than yours but they did get most of there whiskersI wish I could’ve finished my strip there. Looks great, and couldn’t ask for better weather, eh?
You can teach an old dog new tricks. They’ll have their guy-line stumps though. At least the rest of the job shouldn’t have as much damage.Nice weather definitely. Ya I bet. There stumps are considerably higher than yours but they did get most of there whiskers
That side below the buncher piece has a lot I guess and there is another big bluff.. my stripYou can teach an old dog new tricks. They’ll have their guy-line stumps though. At least the rest of the job shouldn’t have as much damage.
Yeah.. I've studied that before. I believe the tree was moving for about 12 seconds before it contorted. #1: cut All your sapwood as soon as you can with older trees. Stick your dogs in the high side of the mouth As soon as you can there after the low.. then go back. That would have saved that chit. Secondary, he contorted it. The tree likely started growing out off a stump or log at one time. The camera front part (high side)never got an undercut? The tree below, I opted to stop there with the undercut but I still cut an undercut in the butress. It won't have holding wood but it's got room to move. No real worries with that tree either way as it was a solid 5ft Western Hemlock going down a hill.
