@Coltont did you find out what was wrong with your 462?
No. But I think I figured it out myself. Was about out of gas , I've got the oil pin punched. Was all but out of oil, got the clutch hot, made it drag? Hasn't had a hiccup since. Prob put 9 gallon at least through it since.

View attachment 226109 I will probably really like the 462 weight when I get back to work... after work yesterday, my 17 year old brother in law wanted to wrestle. I shouldn’t have.

Ouch, does this mean Sprocket will have to take over your strip?

Years ago when I was with the company, we had a guy not show up for several days and his strip was next to mine. The chopping boss told me to start pulling
his strip up since it was the last strip at the end of a small canyon. So I hiked all his tools up and spent a week pulling his and mine's strips up. Everyone thought he
was off on a bender - but what happened was he fell off his roof at home clearing the snow off of his DirecTV dish because he wanted to watch boxing and wasn't
getting good reception. He broke several ribs but was back on the job a couple weeks later.

Get well soon Mr. C!

Thanks, hopefully it won’t take too long. I’m expecting a bit though. I’ll be getting surgery most likely.

I like when my logs are layed out at the mill to look like anwell processed ready to use log. It says something about the quality of a cutters work. There butt or stump is almost like a signature. At least to me.

yes very true that you gotta keep a bit of pride in the job and they do look good

It's nice to have pride in your work! And the truckers sure appreciate it. Hear stories of some real messy work!

yeah when I first started out the tractor driver got me into the firm and he would put up with Douglas and larch not trimmed but he wouldn’t have any buttresses on cedar or spruce

You couldnt have asked for better weather in Eugene on Friday!

I wouldn’t know I was in 10 hours of class with too much information wish they would record them and put them up on YouTube for everyone to see what’s possible with the CTL equipment.

I broke my collarbone twice, in the exact same spot, 10 years apart. Once on my bicycle, when I was 10 and the next on my dirt bike when I was 20. They wanted to do surgery, to get it all back in line and plate it but we ended up not. That shoulder sets lower than my other by just a bit now.

Do they still just put a harness on you to pull back the shoulders, or have methods changed?

I broke it Thursday evening, got an Xray and checked out at the urgent care, then they sent the info to an orthopedic surgeon specialist something something. We were supposed to hear back immediately, but we didn’t hear until this morning. We have a consultation tomorrow in the morning to see what is going to happen I suppose. The urgent care doctor was confident I’d need some sort of surgery, but I really don’t know.
Did you heal up well?
