She will never know the feeling of separation from her pupies, she will not know the consequences of being in heat.
Male dogs still court her, but she chooses which one she will keep company with.
It may sound cruel, but it is not supposed to.
I have lived through several previous female pup lives, they were always devastated when the time came to find new homes for their puppies.
When in heat they had to endure the courtship of every male dog close by.
She can go about her life, hunt, dig, play, cuddle, sleep - only worrying that we notice her signals when she needs to go potty (she doesn't bark for that!).
I sincerely hope she is a happy pup, but I often wonder what her offspring would be like.
