She enjoyed a roll in something "cadaver stinky" so I had to thoroughly bathe her yesterday evening.

She is all shiny, fluffy and (for humans) pleasantly smelling.

Although, she has not quite yet forgiven me stinking her up in shampoo and removing her smell of rotten flesh.
I am indulging her with a lot of attention and she seems to enjoy it.

She went nearly catatonic, wouldn't move and gave me "the look"!
Yeah, the coat came off and she went back to being the energetic walk loving pup that I know.

If my dog doesn't smell like cow pie then I'm worried something is wrong with him!

My pup sleeps in the house, on the kitchen bench, on the living room couch, in my bed - death stench is not very pleasant to us humans, although I understand she most likely loves it.

She slept last night in my bed, as a reward and payback for me having bathed her.

She doesn't get bathed for oozing her typical doggy smell.

Pup & I came home from our Sunday walk, 3+ hours.
She is tired, I took the opportunity to "manually" wear down (sandpaper) her rear claws.
She chipped one the other day, they are getting too long.

The "quick" is very strong in her claws.
I have a clipper, tried it once and cut right into the quick - she bled for hours, not doing that again! o_O

Her rear claws wear next to nothing.
Her tush is too slender, no weight - she also does not utilize her rear paws when digging (her mom does!).

Front claws/paws are fine, thankfully. 🥰

EDIT:
I did clip & sandpaper her dewclaws.
They don't wear either!

We did that to our dog, he just stood there and fell over...

We also put a harness on our cat and he just started walking around like he was butt scooting...he didn't care for it either.

Regular Sunday walk with the pup.

She dug out some field mice.

Boyfriend "Bear" tagged along for a while, he ate one of the mice my pup dug out.

Later we encountered boyfriend "Snowman", he too tagged along a fair bit.

Then lunch and a well deserved nap.
