Lost our 11&1/2 year old female bull terrier, Savannah. Picking up her remains today, Friday was a bad day. She had lost weight, stopped eating, lost urinary control and seemed confused. Said I would not make the call on her Savannah, looked at me Friday and said it's time.

Man.....I'm so sorry. I understand this far too well.

Sorry to hear that. I just lost one of mine a month ago, so it's still in the forefront of my mind and I understand what you're going through.

Got a puppy a month ago, he is fitting in nicely. Showing signs of jealousy to the older smaller dog we already have but we are working on it. Mccan dog training videos on YouTube have shown us lots already. He is now housebroken and won’t goto the bathroom inside the house.
He has such a good heart, so happy and playful, already has brought us so many smiles to me and my wife.
He will be fully vaccinated for parvo at the end of the month so until then he is restricted to the yard and the house. Poor guy gets bored often in the same place but it’s better than him getting sick. Soon we will have him outside in the bush going on all kinds of adventures. first photo was when we first met him, I think a few weeks before we were allowed to take him home. Next photo is him this week
His name is lucky named after my dad

Took the hounds for a summer walk through the pasture. Lucy is the black/bluetick coonhound and Henry is the little beagle/basset mix out of frame.

Never had hounds until we adopted Lucy and now I plan on keeping hounds until I don’t have the energy haha

Gunner is the Lab. He just passed away in the middle of May. He was 12.5 years old and was the biggest dog I've ever had at 165 lbs. He had some weight to lose in this picture, but he was old here. He was a solid 125 lbs at a year old.

The GSD is Duke. He just turned 7 and had some abuse issues when I got him at about 6 months. Crazy how much damage can be done to a dog's psyche in such a short time. It took a lot of patience and time for him to come around, but he's a great dog and I'm glad to have him.

He was on a downhill slope for the last week. Yesterday I took the day off early in order to be with him. This morning I woke up and found him pretty much motionless on his side but still alive. I cradled him in my arms and rubbed his ears on the recliner until he finally took his last breath. I sobbed like a little boy… I’m not ashamed to admit that.
Dug a hole for him in the yard and laid him to rest and go back to the dirt with which he once came. I put a big stump on top just as a marker until I make something more appropriate.
Kilo you will be missed my lil guy… love dad

Sorry for your loss. Never easy saying buy to your fur babies.
Sounds like he had a great life at 16 years old.
