So far I've found two surprises after running a bit since being smashed. Broken clutch shoe on startup and a broken rear av spring around the first half tank. Don't have a clutch. So it got flipped around a filed the sharp corner off. Seems fine for what it is. Didn't have a exact av spring. But a front tank spring from a 359/357 fit and is doing the job. Now four tanks in and working smoothly.

Today's cut is with a 560xp that came to its owner from Greece via @AlfA01 I believe. It had on it a 325 sprocket so I went ahead and cut with a new chisel tooth Raisman chain on a 20 inch bar. Yes, I don't really have big wood to test in at the moment as old man winter is holding on with a firm grip here this year. So just have to wait for that to change. Even so though it's hard sugar maple and puts some load on the saw. Even so the 325 chewed its way through even though 3/8 is faster. Should blister its way through pine and make for a dandy saw. Not sure why it never was offered here in that configuration, as it is a nice option.

My 660 from Bill G got a new flywheel key installed about a week ago, due to how late in the evening (or possibly early in the morning) it was I held off on a test run. Today I finally got it running and the tune dialed in, even with the high exhaust I think it pulled a 36 just fine. The 201T I threw a carb kit in and test fired it before I set it aside, it needed a prime to get it running this afternoon but once the m-tronic kicked in it purrs like a kitten and pulls a 16" bar buried in dead, dry fir pretty well. Chains seemed to be spot on too!

Reporting on a real nice 390xp that is the recipient of my raffle gift port job.
I did the best job I could to it and I believe it shows a bit of that effort.
I really enjoyed working on it and hope it helped our fellow member and
was a win, win all the way around for all involved. :)

Further update, it pulls a 36" with a so-so chain like a friggin' champ in dry, seasoned fir. I really love how much Mr. Stump man improved it, she went from being a real dog to a very impressive unit. I hauled up on the rear handle as hard as I could and just barely got it to slip, if the chain was 100% I know I wouldn't have been able to bog it down.IMG_3332.jpeg

I'd like to thank @Stump Shot for the great job he did on my 550xpg! I've used the saw that last 5 weekends and it runs great! On a side note , I'd like to mention how great the auto tune is . When I ran this saw 3 weekends ago it was 32f . Last Saturday it was 62f when started and 74f when I finished cutting. Yesterday morning was 32f when I cutting. The auto tune works flawlessly!

This cut report is on a new 592xp that was ported for work detail. @bradb123 was with me and ran the camera for me, thanks Brad. It was it's first cut, having only been ran the night before. Was going great until the clutch cover got stuffed up. Ah well, you can get the idea of it I think. I do have a pile of pictures if there's any interest left in another build type thread.

A couple more things noted when cutting with the 592 is the seemingly small size of the saw physically and the smoothness of operation with lack of any vibes to the hands.

Yeah, when I did some cuts with @bradb123 I thought the same thing, its smoother and more compact than you'd expect from the displacement.

Yes, they are very smooth just like the 572XP! I ran my 592xp today after I got back from my cabin. On a side note Ed ran mine at Steve's gtg last May. For all you guys reading these threads abouts different saws, go to a gtg! More than likely someone will have a saw model you might be interested in. It's nice to listen to people's opinions about a certain saw but it's not the same as running one.

Today's cut is with a Husqvarna 353 that has had its cylinder replaced with a 346xp 44.3mm version, all other stock components remain.
This is basically a woods ported work saw that will be used fairly heavy at times. It fired right up fine after a few pushes of the primer bulb and chugged right along, a little tweak or two on the carburetor got it running good in no time at all. The chain used is Raisman out of the box .325" cutting in Black Ash. Saw ran very smooth and with plenty of power for the occasions of cutting some larger wood than planned, it will now handle those bigger chores much easier.

An interesting cut report is the newly improved 562xp with the dished piston. Upon taking a look at the insides, it became apparent that i might just as well start over from scratch and forget about the older versions of this saw, which I already had a few different versions of to begin with. After processing all the information I was seeing, i hatched a plan and executed it. I think it turned out quite nicely, dished piston and all.

Looks good, Steve!
Is that the one for Ryan's Dad?
