Is that one of the new pistons manufactured by Stihl (instead of KS) that cost almost twice as much???

Hey, been there, done that, I'm in Grandfather stage now ... much better! Although a lot of last minute calls from my Daughter "Dad, and you pick them up from here, or take them to there". We all pitch in.

I'll just tell you guys what my boss always used to tell me: "Small Children, Small Problems" ... he never had to finish it!

Hang in there bud, it will get better. Your Jeep is still under warranty correct?
I'm sure it still is under warranty but it's the hassle of getting it in and then waiting for parts when you have places to be. Having a dealer loaner on vacation is no treat either.

I'm on the other end, since 8/1 I've slept an average of 4-5 hrs but those 4-5 hours are never in a nice uninterrupted row. Amazing how poorly your hands work while trying to change a poopie diaper at 2:30 am.

That's been my life as well. Liam is feeling a lot better, which means he's starting to act like a normal baby. He's eating more, pooping more, and sleeping less lol.

Good question. Personally, I'll attach the cylinder behind my car with a rope, and will drive for a few miles on a nice and flat road. I'm sure it'll be just as fine.
Lol. Put a brick on top of it and look for new asphalt. I/4 mile should be .025 off the base. LOL. [emoji23]

It's a pleasure to read that!

Thank you for that, Guillaume. We aren't out of the woods yet, but he's definitely improving. Surgery is still scheduled for next Friday. Please think of the both of us, because mommy won't be there. It isn't my idea of a boys' night out...

When my kids were young my wife took one of them to the Dr Office, and they needed to take blood. She cried & screamed, and yelled "you would not do this to me if my Daddy were here".

Guess who had to take her to the Dr the next time!!!

Good luck with this guy. Little else matters.

You know it!

Best answer!

Was talking to another member when I discovered the piston was off.

We both said "what would Jason do?"

We came to what you said.

Nope, the Best Answer comes near the end of this thread. I'm excited to see your magic come to full fruition.

BUTTTTT...

We need to make some WWJD bracelets now.

So on the piston with the extra .010 is it all above the top ring?

Didn't measure. All I can say is that the new piston has a higher compression height than the old one. Both oem. My error for not checking the oem I was gonna use as the final step on the builder case. I try to make nearly nothing that will be on the saw, besides the jug, near metal grindings. I shoulda checked the squish with the piston intended to be used on the builder case.

I always check final squish on the saw right before completion. That's how the issue was found. The end result won't be any different. Maybe an extra 5-10 psi of compression.
