No chain catch? Awesome... because we all love thrown chains tearing up cases, tanks, and our legs.

The 1128 catchers work, but are the worst for clogging with noodles. If you noodle a lot, get bigger dawgs with roller chain catch. The AM 660 dawgs mount up, but must be modified slightly to allow a roller catcher (hole enlarged and off set a bit, some material removed from the plastic catch).

the 046/460 / 461 doesnt use the same dual spikes as the 044 and 066 series there is about a 1/4 inch difference

Yep, but they can work with modification. I've done a few since I had a surplus of dawgs from ebay auctions.

460, showing offset.

They're not the best, not OEM, and aren't useful for many cutters....but there are options to try out.

Yep, true. But they can mount up with no roller catcher (or a hack up to mount one). There are oem spikes for 1128s that do work, but if you get a set in an auction for 3.99, shipped--/ why not mess around?

Ive never encountered a set of OEM dawgs that universally fit a 440/460/660 and line up on all 3.

440 and 660..yep...not a 460.

Id love to see them.

IMG_2770.JPG These are AM spikes sold as 660. They fit perfectly on 064-660 and allow roller catchers.
They bolt onto 046/460 but do not allow roller catchers without hacking up the clutch cover spike to a very ugly and barely functional state. The holes don't line up where the catcher goes.
They bolt onto 044/440 but do not allow roller catchers as mentioned above.
I have an oem set on my 660 that I can try on my 460, but we were just discussing AM dawgs... right?

Aftermarket or not i have no idea how a 660 and 460 could share dawgs and actually line up with no modification.
