for the record, I checked into oil pumps for the 064 more than a year ago and was told NLA, which I passed along to Jason at the time, he did buy a fair number of new OEM parts and New aftermarket parts from me in the past
very recently somebody who buys from a different distributer (it might have even been Ted) told me they could get the pumps and when i badgered my guys locally , sure enough they are now in my garage
I think that was recently enough that Jason didn't know they were available
doesn't change what happened
carry on
Dave

That's fair enough to me Dave...I honestly wasn't posting that to throw dude further under the bus...just clearing up the nla statement.

I lost a friend to meth addiction last year, we worked together for two years and I guess the addiction was getting worse towards the end when we parted ways. His wife tested their house and his car for meth and the car came back positive so he emptied their bank account and traded it on a nice truck. He wouldn't answer my calls after our former clients started ringing me asking if I knew where he was because they'd paid him for work he either never did or did poorly. I miss our friendship but he's not welcome in my house anymore, he's sick .If another mate was sick I could help him out by mowing his lawns or cutting a load of firewood, theres nothing I can do for this guy till he actually admits meth has got ahold of him and he wants to beat it.

Reading through the threads about this JMSaws character and his justifications is like watching my mate slip away into where he is now.

Can i ask a question about the untouched transfers ,if they have good #s stock ,why grind on them ? I have a ported mahle round squish jug on one of my saws with untouched transfer port's and it runs real good that way ,when i asked the builder why they were not altered ,he said would hurt the performance of that particular cylinder if they were messed with. I know different guys have different ways of doing things , is what i was told the truth ?

On a serious note, and this isn't the place for it but whatever...

Think of my youngest kiddo tomorrow. Liam, my four month old, is having his fourth surgery. Freaks me out.

I keep saying it, and it probably gets old, but you're a helluva bunch of guys. All the folks I named at the beginning, everyone who has had kind words for Liam, the folks offering to help in different ways along the way... Seriously, thank you all. I'm humbled.

Prayers sent to you and your family. May god speed a fast recovery.

It's truth. It depends on what numbers the builder wants to use. On some saws I base my machine work off of where the trans are at

Some more pics, including the AM black oxide cylinder bolts (which seem OK) and the old vs new jug bases. Kevin has the old jug and will be checking it out. Squish was about 29 thou with one side 24, but I think that was carbon.

Squish on this jug came in at 20.
