I hear a lot about the "better balance" of the 562 compared to 362. FYI, powerhead only, the 562 and 362 Ver I are the same weight, and the 362 Ver II is about 1/2 lb less.

That said, when I went to the local Stihl shop yesterday, they had both a Ver I and Ver II on the shelf, but both had 20" ES bars on them, and both felt very front heavy.

I run a 20" Stihl E bar on my 362, and it balances much better. Comparing my weight of the E bar to Redbull's posted weight of the ES bar, the E bar is 9.2 oz lighter. That is a lot, and the ES bar will make the saw feel very front heavy!

The E bar is also much cheaper, with a list price of only $45, and is only 1.5 oz heavier than a Sugi light bar that costs about twice the price.

I hate that nose heavy feeling. I bent an 18" E bar, but it was my own damn fault. I got sucked in to a 562 by out of the box performance then ended up sailing it because the strange aesthetics got to be too much to bear..

I didn't post a thread on it. I've done so many saws that doing build threads seems like I'm just covering old news.

The balance people speak of has NOTHING to do with weight but how that weight is distributed on the saw.

But a 362c is still a Very Gay saw.

Thanks for being patient. I really wanted to compare your saw to this older version. I appreciate you letting me to that.

No worries!! I appreciate you doing the work. And cant wait for her safe return home sooo i can chase little kids up and down the street :) muaahahaha!!

My 362 has worn a 25" es light bar pretty much since new and is a little nose heavy but not much different than with a 20" es bar. I really appreciate the extra reach the 25 has over the 20 tho. It only has about 10 tanks of fuel thru it so far. Soo in theory she could still wake up even more from what the video shows eh randy? I know she was starting to run pretty dam well when i shoved it in the box to send it to tn.. haha!!

I reset the MT system. I think that causes them to take several more tanks to get lined out again.

Keep me in the loop on how it ends up.

562s are definately faster..and they handle better no doubt.

But they junky..ask a stihlhead.
My 362 is ported and the 562 is stock so they don't cut the same but there both very smooth and the 362 don't handle terrible.
I'm a stihl guy so hooray 362

I`ll take you up on that. I am just down the road from you in Marshville. I own a house in Flemington that I am working on trying to get up to par to sell, too. I`m off work starting tomorrow through Jan 4.
