The times I walked by I did not see any people in there other than their staff. The entire event usually has an attendance of 80,000 to 100,000 daily.

Yeah, imagine you have a lawn service and decide to go all in on battery tools, chargers, and extra batteries then the manufacturer changes battery format on you. Right now, the lack of standardization on batteries is the same as if each combustion engine OPE manufacturer specified their own fuel and was constantly changing fuels on top of that.

I went to one Stihl Timbersports event many years ago. I cannot say it left a good taste in my mouth. One of my sons and I shot the shiet with Arden Cogar JR afterwards and that was damn nice.

Yeah, bastard battery connections/mounts vs standardized, like with the "AA""C" "D" 6 volt lantern stuff. I haven't bought a battery powered tool in 20~+ years because of two new batteries always costing as much as the entire tool kit did earlier.
My Milwauki and B&D corded stuff still runs well. Chucks are good, and triggers still smooth and steady.
Between bad knees and arthritis? Chances are, I may never do any more work (climbing & crawling) that truly justifies the cost of batteries for it.

My uncle started an all electric gardening service in the area with all the rich folk here in California. I can believe how much he paid for all of the equipment, I think the mower was like 3K! It’s doing well though since all the clients like the “green” aspect of it.

Corded construction and carpentry tools are pretty common around here, corded OPE not so much. A quality corded weed eater is a pleasure to use. My kid is now responsible for trimming around the house with an old school Weed Eater brand machine.
